George Sherwood is a sculptor of wind, light, space, and time and the relationships they keep with one another. With inspiration taken from nature he has an endless pallet to explore. Like nature itself his work cannot be experienced in an afternoon. As light and wind fluctuate from moment to moment, day to day and season to season so do his sculptures. With the slightest breeze they glisten, catching the light, turning and shifting, spinning and whirling. Their effortless movement is all at once graceful, whimsical and ever changing.
